Knirirr's wafflings

I received an e-mail from someone who works for HM government which had a long disclaimer as the signature, as now seems to be the annoying fashion. The first few words caught my eye:

This email was received from the INTERNET [...snip rest of disclaimer]

Well, I was once told by a nutter in a pub that the INTERNET was evil and one of humanity's worst inventions so I suppose the warning is necessary.
